Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
DigiMoolai is built to run entirely on your device. There is no DigiMoolai server, no account, and no analytics or tracking SDK in the app — this policy is short because there simply isn't much data flowing anywhere.
What we collect
Nothing is collected by us, because nothing leaves your device. Specifically:
- Voice input. When you dictate a memory, your phone's own speech recognizer turns it into text on the device. DigiMoolai asks for on-device recognition, so the audio isn't sent anywhere, and it's never saved — only the resulting text is.
- Memories and reminders. The text of your memories, the reminders found in them, and a search index of them are stored in a local database on your device, inside your phone's app sandbox.
- App settings. Preferences like notification settings, your trial start date and whether you've purchased the app are stored locally in the same way.
What we don't collect
- No account or sign-in, so no name, email, or profile data.
- No analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.
- No copy of your memories, reminders, or questions is ever sent to us — we don't have a server that could receive them.
On-device AI and network access
To answer your questions, DigiMoolai uses a language model that runs on your phone.
- Apple Intelligence. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence turned on, DigiMoolai can use Apple's on-device model through Apple's Foundation Models framework. That model comes with Apple Intelligence and runs entirely on your iPhone: nothing is downloaded for it, and your notes and questions aren't sent to Apple or anyone else.
- DigiMoolai's own model. On other phones, or if you choose "Downloaded" in Settings, DigiMoolai downloads its own language model once (about 1.1 GB).
- Search model. A small model that lets search find notes by meaning is downloaded once on every phone.
The model files are downloaded from Hugging Face, which hosts them. These are one-way downloads of model files: like any download, the request includes your device's IP address, but no personal data or memory content. You can restrict these downloads to Wi-Fi in Settings. After that, everything works offline.
Backup & Restore
If you export a backup, it is encrypted on-device with AES-256 using a passphrase you choose, before it's handed to your phone's normal share sheet. Where you save or send that encrypted file (e.g. Files, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, AirDrop) is entirely your choice — DigiMoolai doesn't upload it anywhere itself. Without your passphrase, the backup file cannot be read.
Notifications
Reminders you set are scheduled and delivered by your device's own notification system. No reminder content is sent to any push notification server.
Payments
After the 15-day free trial, DigiMoolai is unlocked with a one-time purchase processed by the Apple App Store (or Google Play, once the Android app is available), using our purchase management provider, RevenueCat, to manage your entitlement. These parties receive purchase-related information (such as your purchase receipt and a device/account identifier) necessary to activate your purchase — DigiMoolai itself never sees your payment details. See Apple's, Google's, and RevenueCat's privacy policies for details on how they handle that information.
Your data, your control
You can delete any individual memory or reminder from within the app at any time. Uninstalling DigiMoolai permanently deletes everything stored locally — there is no server-side copy to remove, because none exists.
Children's privacy
DigiMoolai is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them (nor, as described above, do we collect information from anyone).
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example, if a future feature introduces network functionality that isn't purely on-device — we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, note it in the app's release notes.
